In the footsteps of the Bauhaus, selected ceramic and sound artists investigated the interaction between tone and form. Together they collaborated on artworks of "frozen tone" and "amorphous form".
As with the first Symposium in 2006, the moat castle at Kappellendorf offered the ideal location for two weeks of intensive work. The month long exhibition of the resulting artworks began on 27th June at the Galerie Waidspeicher in the Kulturhof zum Güldenen Krönbacken in Erfurt with an opening event which included a dance performance from Michael Ihnow (Berlin).
Some of the Symposium artworks were also included in the "Anlass Bauhaus" exhibition.
